We Are NOSA
For more than seven decades, NOSA has been part of the story of workplace safety in South Africa.
Established in 1951,
NOSA was created with a clear purpose: to help industry reduce injuries, strengthen safety practices and create workplaces where people could do their jobs and return home safely.
The first NOSA 5 Star Grading audits followed in 1954, and by 1964 NOSA was delivering safety training directly to industry with its flagship program, SAMTRAC. As legislation has changed, so has NOSA to include our Auditing, Consulting, Certification and Occupational Hygiene services.
As part of that evolution, our training and digital learning offering entered a new chapter under the SafetyCloud brand in 2021. SafetyCloud represented an important period of progress, but our expertise has expanded. Our technology has evolved. Our access to international knowledge and specialist capability has grown.
Becoming part of Centre Testing International (CTI) in 2025, marked the next important chapter in that evolution. It connects our strong local heritage and industry experience with cutting edge technology, international capability and global reach.
And through international backing and investment, we are now able to offer our customers broader capabilities, greater resources and a stronger global connection.
Today, we are bringing all of this together under our brand, NOSA.
